This place used to be called “Korean Food” and it’s under new management. The previous owner would sometimes be mean to her employees and the employee turnaround was obvious. Current staff is very friendly and courteous. NOW it’s completely different. Before there was a pungent Kimchi smell all of the time to the point that the odor would stick to your clothes and stay on for hours. It is no longer that way. The food is tastier as well and the spicy beef bulgogi no longer burns your throat. It’s still spicy but in a good way. I had the chicken ramen for the 1st time and it took me back to Korea. We’re now back to being regulars here.
This restaurant has really turned around for me under the new ownership. The ladies working the front were very patient and polite. I really liked how a lot of things (tea/side dish) were self-serve and made me feel like i was eating at a restaurant in Korea. We ordered the squid stir-fry (오징어 볶음), yook gae jang (육개장), and seafood pancake (해물 파전). They were all delicious like how i remembered it from my trips to korea. Really wanna try their ttukbokki next time.
Delicious authentic Korean food! So glad we found this place and checked it out. No frills place, but the food was really great. And the free kimchi and cucumbers are so good too. The place seems to be a mom and pop shop ran by a Korean couple. Would definitely come again if we're in the area in the future.
A week after we got back from our S.Korean trip, hubby craved for korean fried chicken, and not wanting to drive to Elicot city, I googled and this place came up. We went there couple years ago and did not like the place. Read the reviews that it is now new management, we are willing to try again, so we drove 30 mins and ordered Gimbap, the 2 kinds of chicken and the beef stir fry. We ate and super happy with the experience of ordering, the service and the ambiance. Self service for the radishes, kimchi and cucumber pickles. Assorted drinks to purchase in their refrigerator and of course free water and tea. We will be a regular!
This restaurant is a hidden gem with surprisingly affordable pricing and exceptional food. Every dish we tried was delicious. Love the self serving table too! Highly recommend for food lovers who want to eat well without breaking the bank. We'll definitely be back the next time we drive by.
This place is amazing it feels like a second home . Family owned and they make you feel like family as soon as you walk in . I just found out they changed management and wanted to try it out. It is very clean and has a calm environment. The whole staff was very friendly and greeted me kindly. I got a small Kimbap to go. They made my order so quick, it took them less than 5 mins. I got in my car to try it out. Omg. This is one of the best Kimbap I’ve ever tasted!! It’s so yummy and I can’t wait to come back to try more food. I definitely recommend coming by because I certainly will!
This place offers the best food around the area. I mean what I say completely. They make their own kimchi, they prepare the meals from scratch - ab initio Fairly priced, consistent love and its quickly prepared.
